PEEK Characteristics

  • High Temperature Resistance: Withstands temperatures up to 400°C.
  • Chemical Resistance: Resistant to a wide range of chemicals.
  • High Mechanical Strength: Tensile strength above 100 MPa.
  • Lightweight: Density of 1.3 g/cm³, about two-thirds that of aluminum alloy.
  • Flame Retardant: Excellent flame-retardant properties.

Industrial Applications of PEEK

  • Defense & Military: Used in aerospace engine seals, combustion chamber parts, missile guidance cable sheaths, gyroscope brackets, corrosion-resistant seals for naval equipment, radar antenna covers, etc.
  • New Energy Vehicles: Lightweight and high-end parts such as front hoods, trunk lids, automatic spoilers, side skirts.
  • Robotics: Increasing use in humanoid robots, with about 3.9 kg of PEEK+carbon fiber composites per robot.
  • Medical Devices: Utilized for implants like artificial joints and spinal devices due to biocompatibility and mechanical performance.
  • Electronics: Manufacturing high-temperature, corrosion-resistant parts like connectors and sockets.
